Welcome back to another Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by that artsy reader girl since 2018. It was born of a love of lists and bringing bookworms together. This week's topic was books on my wish list. Now, I don't keep a wish list, so I thought that I'd just share the books I'm hoping to own one day. There are dozens of books I'd love to buy, but these are the ones that immediately come to mind.
1. Anne of Avonlea by L.M. Montgomery
2. An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
I read Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson this year and it's one of my favorite fantasies. I loved the author's writing, so I feel the need to buy another one of her books, An Enchantment Of Ravens.
3. Keeper Of The Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger
4. The School For Good and Evil - A World Without Princes
I love The School for Good and Evil series. My sister bought the first book when she went to a book fair with her class for a school trip. When it was my class's turn I saw the third book in the series and bought it immediately. So, I read the first book then I just read the third without feeling the need to read the second one. To be honest, the third book does a wonderful job summarizing the important moments in the second book, so I never felt a great loss there. Later I bought and read the 4th, 5th, and 6th books, and I finally read the second (as an audiobook). However, I still don't own it and one day I'd love to complete the set.
5. Little Men by Louisa May Alcott
Little Women and Good Wives are some of my favorite classics. So, naturally, I'd love to add Little Men to my classics collection.
6. Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint
I've been obsessed with Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint for years now since I first began reading the manhwa on Webtoon. I saw that there are physical books available, and now I'm going to make sure I own at least one volume someday.
7. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
I haven't read A Christmas Carol yet, but I love the story from the different movies I've seen since I was a child. I love Charles Dickens' books too, so I'm planning to buy this book too.
8. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
The Secret Garden is my all-time favorite classic. I just love Frances Hodgson Burnett's writing, and I've seen a movie for A Little Princess when I was a child, so I'm hoping to buy and read the book soon.
9. What Time the Sexton's Spade doth Rust by Alan Bradley
I'm obsessed with Alan Bradley's Flavia de Luce series. I own all the previous books, and I'm definitely going to buy What Time the Sexton's Spade doth Rust as soon as I can.

Middle grade is so much fun to read :D A Christmas Carol is also a lot of fun to read, even with previous knowledge through movies.

A love A Christmas Carol! I've read the book and seen many versions of the movie.
ReplyDeleteSome lovely books there. I enjoyed all the Little Women series when I read them a while back. Like, I've only read the first Anne of Green Gables and I loved it so should probably read some of the others sometime!
ReplyDeleteI need to read the "Anne" books someday. Especially since I loved the Sullivan productions. I've only ever seen an adaptation or two for A Little Princess, but that story was a part of my childhood too (same with the "Anne" movies) so I should also add that classic to my list of titles. :) Thanks for visiting my list this past week!
ReplyDeleteThese are some really great books you have on your 'to-own' list! I grew up loving A Little Princess, and An Enchantment of Ravens is another favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the Anne books! I have Keeper of the Lost Cities on my challenge to read this year!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to The Booklore Fairy! I'd love to hear from you.
