I am launching a new series I've been thinking of starting since I began this blog and that is WEBTOON WEDNESDAY.
Every Wednesday I'll post a recommendations list or a review for a new webtoon I'm reading. I hope this will get people who have probably never heard of webtoons before to read some. They are a lot of fun and easy to read.
You can read Webtoons or Manhwas (as they are also called) on many apps and websites (like Tapas), however, I've only ever read them on Webtoon or mostly on the app, so for now the webtoons I mention on my lists will only be from WEBTOON.

Top Ten Webtoons You Should Be Reading
1. Eleceed
Description
Jiwoo is a sweet, kind-hearted high schooler who loves cats, so much so that his home is filled with strays he's helped. He also takes the time to get up early to feed the other cats around the block. However, Jiwoo has a secret that he desperately tries to hide, he has powers, lightning-quick reflexes.
Kayden is heavily injured and being pursued by powerful forces. To escape his pursuers he takes the form of a fat fluffy cat. However, there is an issue, his injuries have left him so weakened that he cannot revert to his original form. Jiwoo discovers the injured Kayden and brings him home to treat him. Here starts an unusual friendship between the two.
There are still forces looking for Kayden, so while he recovers Jiwoo must become strong enough to face them, all while forging friendships with others like him.
Opinion
I'm going to keep this short, if you love action, cool characters, awesome powers, and wholesome friendships this is the first webtoon I must recommend. Also if you love cats (and I mean you are obsessed with cats) you're going to love this. Give it a shot, you won't regret it.

2. Omniscient Reader
Description
Kim Dokja is an average Korean office worker who spends his free time reading his favorite web novel 'Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse'. While riding the train to work one day something inexplicable happens, the novel he's been reading since high school becomes reality. Fearsome creatures sprout out of nowhere and humanity is now in the clutches of strange creatures content with causing bloodshed for their amusement.
Dokja is the only one who knows how the world will end and he uses the knowledge he has gained through reading the web novel to guarantee his survival as well as of the world as he knows it.
Opinion
What can I even say other than I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS WEBTOON? I'm not a big dystopian or apocalyptic media fan at all but this webtoon is different somehow. If you're trying to get into dystopia definitely read this webtoon. If you want clever characters not to mention great action this is the webtoon for you. (ps. The two main characters are pretty handsome, just saying).

3. Cursed Princess Club
Description
Gwendolyn is just like any other princess: kind, loyal, and warm-hearted. At least she has always felt so living with her loving family. When the time comes for her to meet the three princes of the Plaid Kingdom, however, she realizes the painful truth, she is ugly.
Overcome by insecurity and pain she rushes into the forest near the palace one night and happens upon a strange building, the home of The Cursed Princess Club. The club, filled with ladies who have been cursed in different ways, for instance, turning into an animal when they feel certain emotions or becoming Pinocchio becomes a haven for Gwen. Their friendship changes how she sees her family, her talents, and herself.

5. See You In My 19th Life
Description
Jieum Ban is different from others who can barely remember what they had for breakfast two days ago, she can remember the memories of her past life. Not only that, she can remember memories from her past eighteen lives. 6. The Matchmaking Baby Princess
Description
Baby Amelia has one love in her life, her sweet aunt Lucinda. Even when the royal guards appear at her cottage and proclaim that she is the niece of the current emperor, Tessa Illuminas, Amelia's number one concern is her aunt's happiness.
Moved into the palace, the baby princess must deal with nefarious plots and court etiquettes all while trying to find the perfect match for Lucinda. Can the matchmaking baby princess overcome all danger and find happiness? Both for her dear aunt and herself?

Not to mention the fact that Amelia is a genius baby (due to soul swapping), Lucinda is gorgeous and Tessa is unbelievably dashing. If you want a more light-hearted read this is the webtoon for you.

7. Rebirth
Description
What would you do if you went back in time? The world is ending, in the throes of an apocalypse, and something strange is changing the people into horrific monsters. Everyone Noah has ever loved has either died or betrayed him, and he is nearing the end of his own life.
Just as his eyes close for the last time they open again, in the past before the apocalypse began. Now Noah has only two goals: to make better choices guaranteeing the survival of his closest companions and to repair his relationship with the person who became his only trusted companion in the future, his son, Neo.
Opinion
So like I said, dystopia is not my thing, and zombies are among the things in media I detest, but I was unhealthily obsessed with Rebirth. If you like clever plots, zombie apocalypses, complicated family relationships, and mysterious powers I highly recommend this webtoon. Not to mention Neo and Noah are seriously the coolest.

8. Unordinary
Description
In a world where the possession of strange and unbelievable superpowers is lauded and arguably the norm, John is different. He is powerless. In a high school where the social elite all possess powerful abilities John finds himself belittled and ostracized by most students.
However, John has a secret and a past that may turn the school order on its head if revealed. In a world ripe with deadly conspiracies and powerful enemies will John be able to continue living his semi-normal life?
Opinion
If you like plot twists, superpowers, strong female characters, great action, and a high school setting, this webtoon should be on your list. If you are more into morally grey characters then this must be recommended.

9. There Must Be Happy Endings
Description
It was supposed to be the start of her new life, free from the contract relationship that made her suffer, but on the day of their separation, Yeonu watched her soon-to-be ex-husband, Seonjae, lose his life right before her eyes. Now, all she knows is pain and regret. However, with a twist of fate, she wakes up 100 days before the accident occurs and decides to do everything in her power to prevent her husband's tragic ending. This time, Yeonu is determined to find a happy ending, both for herself and for Seonjae.

10. Return of the Blossoming Blade
Description
In a bloody, casualty-heavy war, Cheonmyeong of the Mount Hua sect delivers the final blow against Cheonma, the leader of the evil demonic cult. He closes his eyes for the last time filled with pain and regret for the cost of the victory.
However, he finds himself opening them again, a hundred years after that fateful day where, to his dismay, his beloved sect is in shambles, a mere shadow of its past self. Cheonmyeong is determined to change things and restore the Mount Hua Sect to its past prominence.
Opinion
Another genre of webtoon I find myself strangely obsessed with is martial arts. Return of the Blossoming Blade is a great example of an excellent martial arts webtoon that makes you root for the characters and their goals. Don't be surprised if you find yourself becoming a dedicated member of the Mount Hua Sect while reading this comic. The art is truly gorgeous, and the blade techniques look spectacular. If you're looking for a story to help you begin reading the martial arts genre, well, you've found a great one.

Well, there you have it, I'm a webtoon binger too. The degree of my nerdiness frightens me sometimes, I even wrote all the descriptions myself rather than adding the ones from the Webtoon app. But, regardless, I hope you like this post.
