About Me

Honestly, I'm not very confident when it comes to introductions. Especially when I am introducing myself, however, I absolutely must welcome you to The Booklore Fairy 🧚! Thank you for stopping by, I hope you'll like it here 🌟🌟🌟.

Hi, I'm Marwah.

I'm 26 and still growing up now (IYKYK)

I've recently graduated with a Masters degree in Psychology and contrary to popular belief I have not suddenly been blessed with the ability to read minds (a shame really).

I love reading, writing, knitting (though I haven't awakened my skills yet), and buying books (unfortunately for my bank account). I'm also a huge binger in almost everything I do. I love watching K-dramas, TV shows, movies, and anime. I am also a gamer, feline enthusiast, and a massive nerd (If you haven't realized till now).

Ever since I was a child I've loved to read, whether it be Enid Blyton and her magnificent mystery series (I especially loved The Famous Five and The Secret Seven) or J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter. I've always been drawn into imagining myself being a part of these stories and living a life so very different from my own.

Whether it be cleverly developed plots, majestic dragons, or enchantingly unsettling forests, the way reading can transport you into a different world all through mere words etched in ink is spellbinding. Being a rather anxious child, my fondest memories were when I was able to read the hours away on my bed or living room couch, forgetting all my schoolgirl worries.

Reading helped me discover my strengths. A few months after I had started reading Harry Potter my sixth-grade English teacher told me that she thought I was good at writing. I had never been told anything like that before. Since that moment, my love for reading grew and my interest in writing began. I decided to start this blog as it combined the two hobbies that have truly defined my life, reading and writing.

This is a book review blog, but it is also so much more to me. I hope this becomes a place where book lovers like me can find some more bookish friends because I've never truly had friends who love to read like I do. I hope you'll join me as I attempt to read many more books since I've always been more of a re-reader.

I'm looking forward to reading books both within and outside my comfort zone (though maybe not horror 💀)

See you in my next post where I'll be talking about the books that have truly meant the world to me as a reader. I'll be posting once every four days for now. And yes, that is indeed a part of my bookshelf above.

When did you discover your love for reading?
